Fulfill Your Need For Speed With This Fast Paced Game.

If you are hungry for some fast car action then The Need for Speed is for you. It may appear to be a run-of-the-mill car racing game but it is not. With cars that seem impossibly identical to their real life counterparts, you get a feeling of driving the real thing. The developers have managed to replicate the dashboard, acceleration mechanism, looks and even the engine noise of the real thing.

The game has been kept simple and entertaining, allowing users to compete with the computer which proves to be challenging task. You will need a lot of training before you have a shot at defeating the computer. There is also the option of playing with another player through the modem.

The game has five speed tracks and they are fairly challenging. There is the added challenge of incoming traffic and police patrolling if you get too reckless. This adds to the fun element and keeps the players engrossed at all times. The tracks are designed in such a way that any crashes on them will make you squirm.

The game has some problems with the SVGA visuals because if the resolution increases, the visuals become chaotic. This can lead to the players losing sight of incoming cars and traffic which can lead to crashes. A high quality visual card might resolve this problem. With amazing designs and well made tracks, the game gives you a true feel of living in the fast lane.
